Finishing Up Painting This Way Because I Got a Grant to Paint That Way
Received great news in a cash grant to paint 8 - 10 large abstract expressive paintings by late July. So, I must put these cute, cuddly creatures of the next kalpa on hold while I add more plastic to the Texas-sized garbage patch floating off the coasts of Japan and Hawaii. These were made this week and will be available for feeding in 16 million years.
Later I will go to the library and check out books by painters of the past who let paint paint for itself, and spend the rest of the afternoon staring at the many colorful hard copies of inner turmoil, narcissism, arrogance, pride and self-loathing. I am trepidatious because I know how difficult it will be for me to paint something that I cannot see, but everybody else can.
