Week #2 Friday Stuckism Mini-exhibition
Week #2 of the Friday Stuckist Mini-Exhibition over and up, and still up, hanging in the dining room. People from around the world stopped in to congratulate me and themselves. Sue from coordinates 43.4653° N, 76.4305° W brought three of her recent paintings, all accomplished landscapes tucked in makeshift Arches paper folders. Dee from 43.3981° N, 76.4774° W picked up a guitar and strummed a crisp G-chord like a practiced ukulelist. In finale Buster (43.4126° N, 76.5774° W) fell to the floor hard holding a guitar to act out his day teaching happiness to the children of 43.4062° N, 76.1258° W.
I exhibited my week’s work on the East and South wall of our mansion dining room. We drank bourbon, lemon spritzer, craft beers, chardonnay, vermouth, coke and water. We ate beet soup, southern cornbread, herbed foccacia and extra sharp cheddar cheese. A lot of laughter. Some nervous. Most not.
No one cried.
3 - 6 p.m. Friday Stuckism to prepare us all for its 25 anniversary.
The following day, Rose and I rode south to 40.7440° N, 74.0324° W.
There were many spoiled rotten dogs, boring people stories, corporate pretend wealth, and unhappily crafted street art.
Very little stuckism.
That depression is about to sea change, says I.
The week’s work and Rose where the money wastes away.
